President Hamid Karzai met with the newly appointed U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Daniel Feldman on Thursday afternoon, according to the Presidential Palace statement.
The statement read that during their meeting, Feldman was briefed on the auditing process and recent developments of the Afghan elections.
Feldman was appointed in early July after the retirement of James Dobbins, the former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
